Conversations make businesses earn social capital and get them to be sustainable.
A relationship starts with a conversation. Each conversation creates trust when one comes from the purpose perspective and with the intent of giving value.
Employee engagement is not improving and the impact on business profitability is huge. Leadership and culture have critical roles in this as well the organizational purpose. On a generic level we need to get back to the basic of ‘doing good’ and creating social capital instead of the historically conditioned ‘doing well’ to make profits.

Our people is our greatest asset is a myth! If people were really the focus of businesses then the global engagement would not be at 15% and neither would we see the breakdown in ethics, corporate leadership and culture that has been witnessed in the recent past.
The way forward is through employee engagement where the organization is lead as a family unit benefiting the people responsible for its activities.
