In a world where companies are busy chasing technology and innovation to increase profitability is it at all possible to resolve what looks to be competing mandates: profitability and social benefit?
Employee engagement is not improving and the impact on business profitability is huge. Leadership and culture have critical roles in this as well the organizational purpose. On a generic level we need to get back to the basic of ‘doing good’ and creating social capital instead of the historically conditioned ‘doing well’ to make profits.
